It's time for school! I hope everyone had a restful and amazing summer. I can't wait to meet all the fresh new kindy's that will be walking in our doors very soon! Your family will become apart of an amazing school family here at Douglas. Before the school year begins, I'd love to tell you a little bit about me!
My name is Katie Pauley. This is my 9th year teaching kindergarten at Douglas. I absolutely love Kindergarten. The love and passion and joy for learning is contagious with these kiddos and it makes teaching so much fun. My goal for your child's kindergarten year is that they fall in love with learning and that it carries with them throughout the rest of their school careers.
When I'm not teaching, you will most likely find me spending time with my sweet husband Ben. We are welcoming our first baby girl this November and we are so excited. We also have a big fluffy Old English Sheepdog, Bexley who fills our evenings with lots of laughs. We enjoy spending time with our friends and families. We love to cook and try out new foods. We enjoying working out and staying active. I love a good pedicure, good book or good reality tv to wind down at the end of a busy day.
I know you are probably feeling overwhelmed if this is your first little heading off to full day kindergarten. You might be feeling that way if it's your third or your last! Whichever it may be, I want you to know your child is going to be loved and taken care of in a most important way. I treat my Kindy's as my own.
I look forward to meeting you soon! Enjoy your last few days of summer! We will see you on the first day of staggered entry!
***** Sidenote: As you scroll through this blog, please keep in mind that we used a different form of communication to parents starting the middle of last year, so you won't see much from the middle to the end of the year. We will be switching back to this blog, which will be our main source of pictures/announcements this year***
