As the new school year is gearing up to start, I thought I'd take a minute to share a little bit about myself!!!
My name is Katie Pauley. This will be my 7th year teaching Kindergarten at Douglas Creative Arts and Science Elementary school and I cannot wait for another year!
I grew up in Wilmington, NC with my mom, dad and younger brother Brad. Growing up in a beach town was a lot of fun!!! I attended North Carolina State University and pursed a degree in Elementary Education. Watch out, by the end of the year I have all my kiddos rooting for the WOLFPACK! :)
I currently live in Raleigh with my husband Ben and our sweet and fluffy Old English Sheepdog, Bexley. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dog, visiting with our families and friends, working out, cooking, reading, shopping and catching up on reality TV.
I look forward to getting to know your child and creating a personal and academic relationship with them this school year. Kindergarten is the most important year in school for a kid. It's my job not only to educate but to build an environment that grows and nutures a love of school and learning for years to come. I love to make learning fun and I love my students. I make sure our classroom feels like a little family, parents included!! :)
