Kindergarten field trip was SO much fun!

A police officer came to show the kids his really cool police car!!

One of our kindergarteners at Douglas has a dad who is a police officer! He took some time out of his day to show us some cool things about his police car. It was a fun treat today!

What’s going on in 3143?:

·         Our field trip to the zoo is tomorrow! Please be prompt in the morning so that your child doesn’t miss out on this fun day! IT IS GOING TO RAIN, PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD WEAR A RAINCOAT AND APPROPRIATE FOOT GEAR!

·         Please arrive to the school at 4:15 to pick up your child, we want to be respectful of your time and in return hope you can be prompt and respectful of ours. Thank you!

·         This week in literacy we are working on comparing adventures and experiences of characters in fables. We are also working on learning how to Chunk our words to help us read.

·         In writing we will be writing about our trip to the zoo and also getting ready for our writer’s celebration on April 21^st

·         In math we are continuing our study on addition and subtraction

·         In science we are starting to talk ALL ABOUT ANIMALS

·         Please continue to practice sight words EVERY NIGHT

·         As it gets warmer, please be aware of the dress code for our school. No spaghetti straps, no short shorts, no flip flops.

·         If your child would like to bring a water bottle to school, please do so!
