I ain't gonna paint no more!

We read the story I ain't gonna paint no more by Karen Beaumont. The next day we re-read the story while the students painted along with the reading. We had so much fun!

Check out the book at your local library or bookstore. It's a fun exciting read along story that you and your child can read at night! 

Letterland parade!

Tomorrow is the long awaited LETTERLAND PARADE!

Boys and girls! Don't forget to come dressed to school tomorrow as your favorite letterland character! Parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. Please come and join us between 10-10:30 to watch your child march around the school in their favorite character! A fun time for all! 

Cinderella week!

We have had so much fun this week reading LOTS of different versions of Cinderella!!!

We read:

Cinderella (the original version)

Little Burnt Face (a fairytale from the Micmac Tribe of North America)

Yeh-Shen (a chinese fairytale)

Rhodopis (an egyptian fairytale)

Prince Cinders

.....and then we wrapped it up with a silly story "Seriously, Cinderella is SO annoying" and watched the original Cinderella movie!

What a fun week of fairytale fun!
