Partner math games!

Today in math, we introduced the boys and girls to some fun math games! Your students will be using math games all year as a way to make learning fun and engaging. The boys and girls had a great time. 

Today for early release, ms. Riding the dance teacher came in to read a story and teach us some movements along with the story! The kids had a great time!

Math Fun: Counting up the letters in our names and then graphing them! 

We read the story Chrysanthemum earlier in the day and then revisited it to discuss how many letter she had in her name (13!!) We then wrote out our names on sentence strips, cut up each letter and counted how many letters WE had in our names. After graphing our results, we found out that we have lots of friends in our class who have 4 letters in their name!

We introduced our exercise ball chairs today and the boys and girls did so awesome!!! It's going to be a great year!!!
