I hope everyone is bunkered down and ready for the snow! I miss all the Kiddos! Don't forget to work on your sight words and read read read while you are at home. You could write your sight words in the snow! Send me a picture and I'll post it on our class blog!

and we're back!

I hope everyone stayed safe and warm during our snow days! We are back in full force so here's what's going on in our classroom!

Academics:

Literacy- We are comparing different cinderella stories this week! We are continuing to learn and practice our sight words, I hope they are still being practiced at home! It's super important!

Writing- We will begin "All about" books/stories this week

Math- Modeling and fluently adding and subtracting within 5 and solving simple word problems

Science- Weather!

Our letterland parade is TOMORROW! Come dressed as your favorite character! 

Arts Night is THIS Thursday from 5:45-7:30

Be on the lookout for conference sign up sheets in the near future. 

Boosterthon fun run!

What a fun way to raise money!!! Thank you to everyone who helped the kids out. They ran their little hearts out so we had to celebrate with Popsicles!

We made rain clouds!

We had a science collaboration today and made rain clouds! We made hypothesis/predictions, talked about the procedure and described what happened. We had fun! 

The Boosterthon Fun Run is being rescheduled to Thursday.  We met with the Administration and PTA and decided that this would be the best for the school from a safety and experience standpoint.  The field will not be suitable for a run today.  The times for the run on Thursday are: 

• 9:25 – 10:25am – 2^nd and 4^th grades
• 10:50- 11:50am – Kindergarten and 1^st grades
• 2:05 – 3:05pm – 3^rd  and 5^th grades
